Are you geeky? This program may be for you!  
I'm still planning to go to the Rhode Island Science and Engineering Fair this Saturday morning, so if any of you would like to join me for that, get in touch. You don't have to be cynical for this one, just geeky enough to enjoy going to a science fair.

The response I've gotten to this so far suggests a project topic:

I've heard that crickets chirp at a rate that depends upon the air temperature. For my eighth grade science project, I want to record the chirping rate of crickets under different weather conditions, to find out firsthand how the rate depends on temperature, and to discover whether any other weather conditions such as wind speed, humidity, cloud cover or rain affect it.
